The
Board of Directors of The Marcel Marceau Foundation deeply mourns the
passing of our dear friend, Marcel Marceau.
The Marcel Marceau Foundation
for the Advancement of the Art of Mime, Inc.
was established in 1996 to promote and foster the art of mime and mime-drama
in the US and abroad. Marceau eagerly encouraged and supported the creation
of this organization as a vital means to preserve and perpetuate his
work and to inspire the progress of mime in unique and innovative ways.
He allowed the use of his name, assumed the position of Honorary Chairman,
and considered the Foundation an important part of his legacy.
At this critical time, your support is requested and genuinely appreciated.
Contributions will support the Foundation's two part mission:
To preserve and perpetuate the work
of Marcel Marceau.
To support and nurture
the continuance and expansion of the mime art form.
The Foundation also seeks an institutional partner for the preservation
of Marcel Marceau's archives and the advancement of education in the
art form.
Contributions are tax deductible in the US to the extent allowed by
law, and may be made by credit card or check payable to:
